Dual acetate/acetate with additive filter rods
The biggest advantage of these filters is the possibility to add various adsorbing/absorbing additives to the filter. Currently, most popular additive in the market – activated coconut carbon – improves filtration of vapour phase organic substances, semi volatiles and many other components from the Hoffman analytes list commonly found in the cigarette smoke. Activated carbon provides taste modification possibilities and makes the smoke smoother. It can be added to the filters in various quantities and activities, and filter design itself can be adjusted to meet customer demands.
Activated Carbon application level is up to 60 mg/10 mm filter length.
Powdery or granular additives of customers’ choice, other than activated carbon, can also be added to the filter. The applied additive amount depends on the particle size and its density.
Dual acetate/acetate filter rods
Dual acetate/acetate filter provides a possibility to decouple filter pressure drop from filter length. If the ventilation of filter rod needs to be tuned to a desired level, this can be easily achieved by using this type of dual filter.
